All tile work is installed to BS 5534, the British Standard Code of Practice for slating and tiling for pitched roofs and vertical cladding.

Roof slating is a traditional roofing method that requires specialist skills. The team at Bailey MK has extensive experience installing natural slate, using fixing methods such as copper nails and the more modern hook fixings. Both options help to deliver an attractive and high-performance result.

We can also carry out work using synthetic slate. This material is manufactured from a variety of materials, including plastic, rubber, glass fibre, cement and slate chippings.

Man-made slate imitates the beauty and unique appearance of natural stone, but at a lower cost. Compared to real slate, artificial slate shingles are also easier to install.
